SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

In spite of everything we hear
I believe something beautiful will appear

I don't know, but I think it might be true

So much has come and gone
And still life goes on singing this strange song

I don't know but I think it might be Soul forever opening the world

In this age of solitaire, ensnared by the spirit of disrepair
Everywhere there's a love affair dared and declared by a common prayer
Even as the political-corporate billionaires make warfare
The Sacred Earth prepares a birth exquisite and rare

I know the stars seem so distant now
But I believe we still have starlight on our brow

I see it when I clear my eyes

And though so many feel alone
The day will come when we find we are not our own

I don't know but I think it might be Soul forever opening the world

In this age of laissez-faire as avarice strips the world bare
Something deep and aware brushes against us like angels' hair
Even as despair impairs the primary urge of the heart to care
Somewhere the Holy Earth dares a birth without compare
Exquisite and rare

Everywhere! Everywhere!

In this age of solitaire, ensnared by the spirit of disrepair
Everywhere there's a love affair dared and declared by a common prayer
Even as the political-corporate billionaires make warfare
The Sacred Earth prepares a birth exquisite and rare

In spite of everything we hear                                              [ A-ni-ma ]
I believe something beautiful will appear
